Summary

The water produced by this reverse osmosis desalination plant in one stage, with a compact design, is used to irrigate crops on a farm in the southeast of Spain. The installation is fed directly from a well controlled with a variable frequency drive.

The operation of this installation is fully automatic, including solenoid valves for backwashing and rinsing of the sand filter. It also includes a control with a display that indicates the status of the plant, alarms, etc. This installation also allows to program its operation according to the desired schedule.

Pre-Treatment
- Fed directly from well with a variable frecuency drive.
- Sand filter made of steel with automatic backwash by mean of valves with electric actuator.
- Security filtration with a cartridge holder made of PVC.
- Antiscalant injection system by means of two dosage pumps (for security reasons).
RO Process
- One 200 m3/d line with one stages under a compact and modular model fitting a single stainless steel frame.
- Reverse osmosis stage fed by mean of a high pressure pump with wet parts made of stainless steel.
- Osmosis membrane holder pressure vessels.
Automation and control
- Control by mean of a programmable relay located inside an electric board.
- Interaction with the operator by mean of an integrated display.
- Scheduled operation programming.
Auxiliary systems
- Automatic flushing and chemical cleaning system of reverse osmosis membranes.
